Although the construction was completed in 1986, Intiland Tower still looks modern today due to its modern design by Paul Rudolph, incorporating tropical Indonesian architecture elements. A model of the building was displayed in the Museum of Modern Arts in New York. As of the end of 2007, the occupancy rate was 70 percent.

The targeted tenants include stockbrokers, embassies, consultants, and auditors. In 2007, Intiland carried out significant work on upgrading its properties, including renovations of common areas, improving utilities, particularly for energy efficiency, improving service standards, upgrading security features, especially installing CCTVs on every floor, developing new food courts, F&B at basement. Future plans for developments include renovating of public utilities (toilet, lobby and corridor), retail and food court areas, and redesigning the terraces and courtyards.
