Intiland has expanded its hospitality portfolio through the company’s hotel chain, Whiz Hotel, which is primarily targeted at value-conscious domestic business and leisure travelers. Run and managed by Intiwhiz International, a subsidiary of Intiland, the first Whiz Hotel was opened in Yogyakarta on October 10, 2010. The second hotel opened in Semarang on October 19, 2011, and the third, Grand Whiz Hotel Kuta, Bali was launched on December 19, 2011.
More Whiz Hotels are slated to open in Legian and Nusa Dua Bali, Medan, Pekanbaru, Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung, Surabaya, Balikpapan, Samarinda and Manado; with the hotel chain development targeting big cities across the archipelago. Intiland aims to have as many as 60 hotels in operation across Indonesia in 5 years through its own development, joint ventures as well as franchising.
