South Quarter

South Quarter is mixed-use office complex which puts to the fore the concept of sustainability to create conducive and productive work environment.

Standing on an area of 7.2 hectare, South Quarter is situated in prime area between Pondok Indah and Fatmawati. The projecthas a direct access to toll road to Soekarno-Hatta International airport and mass rapid transportation (MRT) route. The location also has  aconnecting access from Jl RA Kartini to Jl Lebak Bulus I. At the project, Intiland has been developing various facilities, comprising offices, residential area, and modern retail area.

The first phase of South Quarter, in an area of 4.4 hectares, comprising three towers of 20 stories with more than 123,000 square meters of floor area. South Quarter is also equipped with supporting retail facilities in a dome-shaped building with 12,500 square meters floor area, South Quarter DOME. The facility provides the needs for F&B outlets, and it also fits for business interaction. 

South Quarter project takes into account the principles of sustainable development, with the aim of benefiting not only the tenants but also the environment. To realize the concept, Intiland once again works closely with Tom Wright from WKK Architects whilst working with Atkins. The architect's portfolio includes Burj Al Arab Hotel, the iconic masterpiece of modern architecture in the city of Dubai. Tom previously designed Regatta, another Intiland's leading project located in Pantai Mutiara, Jakarta.

Design-wise, the placement of South Quarter building takes into account the position of the sun and the application of louvre (lattices). This can reduce the heat entering the building, yet maintaining maximum natural lighting, which saves energy and electricity on air-conditioning. Aesthetically, the louvre creates unique façade inspired by Indonesia's traditional rattan weave basket.

Sustainable Design

The positioning of the South Quarter buildings takes into account the orientation of the sunlight’. To reduce heat and glare from the Sun, the building is covered with louvre. This can help save power for Air Conditioners (AC). Aesthetically, the louvre creates unique façade inspired by Indonesian traditional rattan basket. Another form of commitment to sustainable development and eco friendly approach is waste water management facility and dedicated bicycle parking.

South Quarter has received GOLD greenship certificate from Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI), a green building certification institution.


South Quarter provides roomy workspace, thus, enabling more flexible spatial arrangement. With floor area of 2,200 square meters, South Quarter is one of the office buildings which has the biggest floor area in TB Simatupang area.
