Intiland Explores Collaboration with MRT Jakarta for Integrated Area Development Along the MRT East-West Line

Jakarta (04/02) – Property developer PT Intiland Development Tbk (DILD; Intiland) is committed to supporting the development of Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) areas and the integration of public transportation between Jakarta and its satellite cities. This commitment is realized through its subsidiary, PT Sinar Puspapersada, which has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) alongside several other property developers.

The signing ceremony took place at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Jakarta, Wednesday (04/02). The agreement was signed by the developers’ leadership and Director of Business Development of MRT Jakarta Farchad Mahfud, witnessed by President Director of MRT Jakarta Tuhiyat, Governor of Jakarta Pramono Anung, and Governor of Banten Andra Soni. This MoU marks the initial exploration of collaboration between PT MRT Jakarta and private developers to support the development and integration of areas based on mass rapid transit systems.

President Director of Intiland Archied Noto Pradono explained that this signing is a preliminary step for the Company to explore collaborative opportunities in developing integrated property areas along the MRT East-West Line in the Banten region, specifically the Kembangan-Balaraja segment. The cooperation focuses on integrated planning studies, including identifying potential MRT station locations integrated with the Talaga Bestari township project, as well as exploring long-term sustainable business schemes and project structures. This collaboration aligns with the Company’s long-term strategy to support integrated and sustainable urban development.

“This partnership is a strategic move for Intiland to support the development of integrated and sustainable TOD areas. We are ready to contribute from the early planning stages to create areas with high connectivity and long-term value, providing real benefits for urban development and the community,” said Archied Noto Pradono in a written statement, Wednesday (04/02).

As a property developer with extensive experience in TOD, Intiland has a proven track record of projects integrated with the MRT Jakarta network. These include the Poins shopping center in Lebak Bulus, South Quarter offices and SQ Rés apartments in TB Simatupang, Intiland Tower Jakarta in Bendungan Hilir, and Fifty Seven Promenade in the Thamrin area. Furthermore, the Company has partnered with MRT Jakarta for the Lebak Bulus TOD development by building a sky bridge and transit plaza connecting Poins to the Lebak Bulus MRT Station.

The Company believes the development of the MRT East-West Line will significantly impact area development along the route. For Intiland, the presence of the MRT line will provide direct added value to the Talaga Bestari project in Cikupa, Tangerang, as an integrated property area connected to regional transportation systems and infrastructure.

“We hope to contribute actively in presenting developments integrated with public transport, increasing accessibility, strengthening area competitiveness, and supporting the realization of a sustainable mass transit system for the public,” Archied Noto Pradono added.

The Talaga Bestari area in Cikupa, Tangerang, possesses excellent development potential alongside increasingly complete supporting infrastructure. The area is currently supported by the Jakarta-Merak toll road, the Balaraja Timur toll gate, and proximity to the Serpong-Airport toll network leading to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. In the future, the area will be further bolstered by plans for the Serpong-Balaraja and Balaraja-Airport toll roads.

Under this MoU, the involved parties will form a joint working group tasked with formulating a collective work plan, covering development studies for the Kembangan-Balaraja MRT line, interconnection, and area integration.***
