Intiland Wins Padmamitra Awards 2016

Jakarta (21/01) – The leading property developer PT Intiland Development Tbk was bestowed with Padmamitra Awards 2016 by the Government of Jakarta. Padmamitra Awards is given by the Jakarta administration to notable companies with strong commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Intiland won Padmamitra Awards in the category of private corporations conducting their location-based CSR programs. The award was handed over by Deputy Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat and was received by Director of Intiland, Utama Gondokusumo, at the City Hall on Thursday, January 21, 2016.

The award is a recognition for Intiland’s effort and commitment realized in the company’s pro-active contribution to the environment and the citizens of Jakarta. “The programs we design and execute are just the small things we can do to help the city. We at Intiland believe that positive contribution to the people will directly lead to a synergy with the company’s growth in the future. There is no such a thing as bad investment if it is for the development and progress of the community,” he explained.

Through Intiland Foundation, the company has since last year conducted several CSR activities with its Intiland Teduh program. With this program, the company allocates some of its net profit to provide homes for those in need or to construct community facilities.

One of the realizations of Intiland Teduh program is the development of three Children-friendly Public Space (RPTRA) in three areas in the capital: Karet Tengsin, Central Jakarta; Rawa Buaya in West Jakarta; and Semper Barat, North Jakarta. The Jakarta Governor officially opened Intiland Teduh Karet RPTRA on December 30, 2015.

Intiland, previously, also assisted 240 families in renting their units at three low-cost rented apartments (rusunawa) – Rusunawa Pesakih in West Jakarta, Rusanawa Marunda in North Jakarta, and Rusunawa Pinus Elok in East Jakarta. The company also helped with the construction of a rusunawa in Pulo Gebang, East Jakarta, and helped to prepare decent homes in Tangerang area. For this action, the company worked with an experienced independent institution.
In the field of education, Intiland fully realizes the importance of early-age education and its supporting facilities. For that reason, the company has helped renovate Anggrek Early Childhood Education home located in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta.

The company also has worked with Sangga Buana Environmental Farming Group. Together with the group, the company has developed integrated waste treatment facility with the capacity of six tons per day. The facility is located at Pesanggrahan Sangga Buana city forest occupying an area of 3,000 square meters in South Jakarta.

Through one of Intiland’s major projects, Serenia Hills residential complex, the company also participated in the conservation of Pesanggrahan River. In the program, the company helped plant thousands of bamboo trees along Pesanggrahan River, in the area surrounding Pesanggrahan Sangga Buana city forest in South Jakarta.

The company launches its CSR programs through Intiland Foundation, which oversees all of Intiland’s CSR programs. There are four CSR programs that Intiland focuses on: Bakti Ilmu (Education), Bakti Bumi (Environment), Bakti Sesama (Social) and Disaster Mitigation.
