Jakarta (8/12) – The Governor of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Mr. Anies Baswedan, inaugurated the Declaration of Development of Simpang Temu Lebak Bulus or Lebak Bulus Transit Hub, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, 8 December 2021. The construction of the Lebak Bulus Intersection is a collaboration between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, PT MRT Jakarta, PT Intiland Development Tbk, and PT Inti Menara Jaya as the developer of Poins shopping center. The Lebak Bulus Transit Hub is the second transit hub to be built in MRT Jakarta Transit Oriented Area, continuing the Dukuh Atas Intersection, whose construction had been previously announced.
“The construction of the transit hub is clear evidence of the collaborative work between the government and the private sector in developing Jakarta, the city we all love. Cooperation is what we need in developing a city, because through this collaborative work, we can deliver facilities for the mobility of our people,” said DKI Jakarta Governor, Mr. Anies Baswedan, during the signing event.
This facility is designed as a comfortable, safe, and leafy community meeting area. This area is a “kiss & ride” or drop-off area for passengers of various public transportation modes, such as MRT, Bus, Online Motorbike Taxi, etc., easily and safely. There will also be a link to Poins shopping center via the ground floor and upper ground floor. Outdoor seating facilities will be provided at a number of points that can be used for people to wait for their preferred mode of transportation.
Occupying an area of ± 2,000 m2, the Lebak Bulus Transit Hub is a facility to be built in the Transit Oriented Area, which was developed with the concept of a meeting place for many modes. This is expected to support development around pedestrian-oriented transit points, increase accessibility and regional connectivity, assimilation of activities in the framework of urban rejuvenation and increasing the use of mass public transport. This service is also equipped with a sky bridge that connects the Lebak Bulus MRT station to the Lebak Bulus Transit Hub area and Poins shopping center, transit hub, bicycle parking, private vehicle drop off area, Transjakarta bus stop, and online transportation pick up point.***
